In Loving Remembrance of Our Beloved Brother
Zahoorul Hassan (Rahimahullah)

With heavy hearts, we remember our beloved brother Zahoorul Hassan, who returned to Allah at the young age of 36. His sudden passing has left a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, and the wider community.

Zahoorul was known for his beautiful character. He carried himself with humility, warmth, and sincerity, always greeting others with a smile and asking after their families. He was someone people felt comfortable around, very gentle in manner, kind in speech, and genuinely caring for others.

He dedicated much of his time to khidmah (service). Whether supporting charitable causes, helping around the masjid, or quietly assisting members of the community, Zahoorul served without seeking recognition. His actions reflected a heart rooted in compassion and a life lived for the sake of others.

Those who knew him speak of his good manners, bubbly nature, and consistent concern for people beyond himself. He was a source of ease and comfort, someone whose presence lifted others. His loss is not only felt by those closest to him, but by the entire community he served with such sincerity.

We ask Allah ﷻ to forgive his shortcomings, elevate his rank, illuminate his grave, and grant him the highest stations in Jannah. May Allah grant Sabr Jameel to his family, friends, and all who are grieving his loss. Ameen.

Continuing His Legacy Through Action
In remembrance of our brother Zahoorul, this fundraiser is dedicated to continuing the values he lived, with compassion and community support. All funds raised will go towards charitable work that reflects his legacy, supporting vulnerable families and those in need, both locally and abroad.

This effort is not only a fundraiser, but a means of sadaqah jariyah (ongoing charity) on his behalf, so that his legacy of goodness continues even after his passing.

As part of this appeal in loving remembrance of Zahoorul Hassan (rahimahullah), donations will be directed towards urgent humanitarian support in Gaza, where families continue to face extreme hardship due to ongoing conflict and displacement.

Current priority needs in Gaza include:

Water & sanitation repair (war-damaged unit)
Repair and restoration of a damaged water and sanitation facility serving the surrounding area
Cost: £1,700

Emergency shelter (family tent)
Provision of a new tent suitable for a family of 5–6 people who have lost their home
Cost: £1,000

These essential interventions provide dignity, safety, and basic living conditions for families in Gaza who are living under severe and unstable conditions. By supporting this appeal, donors help deliver immediate, practical aid while continuing the legacy of service and compassion lived by our brother. Should funds raised exceed the requirements of the projects outlined above, any additional donations will be used to support other essential Rise Support projects where the need is greatest.
