Pakistan Emergency

Despite being a fundamental human need, clean and safe water remains a daily struggle for 21.7 million people in Pakistan.

Pakistan Emergency Appeal

Water is a fundamental human need, yet for 21.7 million people in Pakistan, access to clean and safe water remains a daily struggle.

That's equivalent to 1 in 10 people, a staggering figure that is only increasing year after year. With climate change exacerbating the country's already dire water crisis, the situation is becoming more urgent than ever. Children are falling ill from waterborne diseases, women and girls are forced to walk miles every day to fetch water, and families are being pushed deeper into poverty as they spend a significant portion of their income on buying water or on medical bills.

This is unacceptable in the 21st century, and we cannot stand idly by. It's time to take action and ensure that every person in Pakistan has access to safe and clean water. Join us in this urgent appeal and help us make a difference in the lives of millions.

Rise with us and support Pakistan today.

The Water Crisis in Pakistan

The water crisis in Pakistan has reached a critical level, with 21.7 million people - equivalent to 1 in 10 - currently without access to clean and safe water. This has resulted in a range of devastating consequences, from widespread illness and disease to death from dehydration. Shockingly, 19,400 children under the age of 5 die each year from diarrhea, a preventable disease that is often caused by contaminated water. It's clear that urgent action is needed to provide people with the clean water they need to survive. Water pumps and wells are urgently needed in many areas of Pakistan, as people are dying from thirst and struggling to find enough water to meet their basic needs.

Our Emergency Response

In response to this crisis, Rise Support with a 100% donation policy - has been on the ground in Pakistan since 2020, providing people with the clean water they need to stay healthy and hydrated. The team at Rise Support is working tirelessly to ensure that people's water needs are being met, but they need your support to continue their important work. Despite the incredible efforts of Rise Support, there is still a significant portion of the population in Pakistan that does not have access to clean water. That's why we are urging you to join us in this urgent appeal to help provide people with this essential resource. Your support can make a real difference in the lives of millions of people who are currently suffering due to lack of access to clean water. Please donate today and help us ensure that every person in Pakistan has access to this basic human right.

The Prophet, upon him be peace, said:

Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity.” (Al-Tirmidhi)

Access to Mobility Aids

In addition to the water crisis, Pakistan is also facing a dire situation when it comes to access to mobility aids such as wheelchairs. Many people, particularly the elderly and those with disabilities, are unable to afford the cost of a wheelchair, and with no free healthcare service in the country, this leaves a significant portion of the population without access to this basic essential.

According to statistics, around 2.5 million people in Pakistan are estimated to be living with a physical disability, and without a wheelchair, they are unable to participate in daily activities or access basic services such as education and healthcare. This lack of mobility also places a significant burden on their families, who are forced to carry them or push them in make shift wheelbarrows, further exacerbating their own physical strain.

Providing wheelchairs to those in need

Recognizing this urgent need, Rise Support has allocated funds to help provide wheelchairs to those in need in Pakistan. While this has made a difference in the lives of many, there are still millions of people throughout the country who are in need of this basic essential but do not have it.

Your donation can help us provide mobility and independence to people who would otherwise be confined to their homes, unable to participate in daily life. With your support, we can make a real difference in the lives of those who are currently facing this challenge.
